English translation

Misty willows, painted bridges,

wind-stirred curtains, kingfisher-blue screens,

a hundred thousand homes, uneven, crowding.

Layered lakes and folded hills, clear and lovely;

osmanthus seeds through the three months of autumn,

ten miles of lotus flowers.
